On the final weekend of November, the I Go organisation attempted to arrange an event with the population of Muro Lucano related to the Smart Democracy project, an Erasmus project that, in reality, is giving birth to dialogue initiatives between young people in 5 EU countries and local authorities.
With this event, we were able to not only promote the notion of participation and active citizenship, but also create awareness among members of the local community about Erasmus options and methods to engage in the programme.
As a young organisation, we truly think that the programme allows everyone to foster debate and the creation of unique ideas. As a result, we constantly desire a bigger audience to learn about the programme and engage in its activities.
We resorted to the guide established with the EU in the countryside project, a guide prepared by youth workers to guarantee participation and training in rural areas, to ensure that the event could be participatory and meet the criteria of the Erasmus programme.
The event also saw a strong level of engagement and interest in future events that we are planning, for which we hope to carry out more information and dissemination operations. Follow us on social media to learn more about the opportunities that Inclusion Go provides for rural communities.
