Promoting Inclusion and Employment through Art
Lo scambio culturale “Promoting Inclusion and Employment through Art” durato 8 giorni, ha permesso ai partecipanti di diversi Paesi EU e non di scoprire politiche inclusive e iniziative che l’Europa mette in atto per accogliere migranti e senza tetto.
Uno dei meeting più significativi è avvenuto presso la sede dell’associazione LOGS, ONG (Organizzazione Non Governativa) presso Timisoara che aiuta direttamente i rifugiati e i richiedenti asilo ad essere accolti nella comunità. Lì, i partecipanti hanno appreso della terribile situazione dei rifugiati, di come sono fuggiti dalle guerre e di come i senzatetto ottengono un piccolo sostegno da parte del governo. Un altro aspetto importante di questo progetto è stato l’evento pubblico organizzato dai partecipanti presso la Casa Culturale in Dognecea. Questo spettacolo ha avuto lo scopo di aumentare la consapevolezza nella comunità sull’argomento del progetto, soprattutto perché i rifugiati arrivano più frequentemente nella parte occidentale dell’EU e sono descritti negativamente dai mass media e dai social media. La gente del posto trascorrendo del tempo insieme ai partecipanti ha aumentato la dimensione culturale di questo progetto internazionale.

The cultural exchange “Promoting Inclusion and Employment through Art” lasted 8 days and allowed participants from different EU and non-EU countries to discover inclusive policies and initiatives that Europe puts in place to welcome migrants and homeless people.
One of the most significant meetings took place at the headquarters of LOGS Association, an NGO (Non-Governmental Organization) near Timisoara that directly helps refugees and asylum seekers to be welcomed into the community. There, participants learned about the dire situation of refugees, how they fled wars, and how homeless people get little support from the government. Another important aspect of this project was the public event organized by the participants at the Cultural House in Dognecea. This show was meant to raise awareness in the community about the topic of the project, especially since refugees arrive more frequently in the western part of the EU and are portrayed negatively in the media and social media. The locals spending time together with the participants increased the cultural dimension of this international project.
